1ST ANNUAL TAVLI TOURNAMENT 2022

We are but 3 days & a few hours away from one of the most anticipated events in Houston’s history! We have 21 players signed up but we need another 11 folks. REMEMBER, all funds, every single cent, go towards the Friends of Cyprus scholarship fund (the scholarship dinner will be held on Saturday, October 22 more info to follow - save the date). Don’t miss out on potentially winning $1500 (winner), $300 (runner up), or $200 (third place). Sign up now!

The date has been set (September 10, 2022). The time has been set (1 pm CST). The event place has been selected (5408 China Doll Ct. Houston TX 77041). The prize money has been increased. Yes, you read that correctly. It is now up to $2000. The winner will go home with a $1500 check along with a championship belt!

The entry fee is only $100. Limited to 32 players.

Most importantly, all funds raised will go towards the Friends of Cyprus Scholarship program.

PS. The introduction, how to play Tavli by William (Bill) Riles & Tara Mendocino, @ noon plus the final game @ approx. 5pm will be live streamed on our Facebook page with Bill & Tara providing commentary. Please note that Bill & Tara are world-recognized backgammon players & commentators.
